We are a small privately owned shipping company named "rederij Welvaren" and the proud owner of a beautiful antique riverboat named the "Henry Schmitz". We are specialized in organizing high quality cruises with this boat in and around Amsterdam. We have partnerred with a gourmet restaurant to ensure that not only the boat, but also the food is of a high standard.

A cruise often is only a part of your activities in Amsterdam. And because you may be visiting Amsterdam, we live here and know our way and therefore we can help you with the little details which make organizing an event so much easier.
For instance we can organize the boat to pick you up close to your hotel, or if that is not possible we can arrange transportation to and from the boat.

ANTIQUE BOAT
The almost sixteen meters long riverboat, the Henry Schmitz, was built in 1898 at the famous yard of Jean Schmitz in the German Königswinter.
The Henry Schmitz was originally used as a ferry on the Rhine river at the height of Flittard.
The boat was completely restored in 2000 and equipped with all comforts. Since then it has been sailing through the Amsterdam canals as a luxury cruise boat.
